Armenia’s knitwear, cotton fabrics production down

Armenia saw a significant growth in knitwear and cotton fabrics production in 2018, the statistics show.

A total of 2 549.5 units of knitwear were manufactured in the country in January-August, down by 9.9% against the 2017 data, the National Statistical Service (NSS) informed Panorama.am.

The production volumes of cotton fabrics also recorded a decrease of 6.2% in 2017. The production volumes amounted to 3.2 tones in 2017, whereas some 3 tons of cotton fabrics were produced over the past eight months of the ongoing year.

For the indicated period, hosiery output declined in Armenia. 6 892.5 pairs were manufactured in January-August 2018, showing a 26.8% decrease from 2017 data.
