PRESIDENT ADVISER HAS HARDSHIP ANSWERING REPORTER QUESTIONS

Garnik Isagulyan, adviser to the president of the Republic on national security issues, appeared in a very uncomfortable situation. He hardly answered the questions of reporters at the Friday Club today. In some sense, it was understandable since the questions were very sharp and the adviser felt uncomfortable answering them.

- Mr. Isagulyan, why doesn’t the national security board affiliated to the president hold meetings? Aren’t there any dangers to our country?

-What are you speaking about? I cannot answer such questions. It does not interest me. You can peacefully sleep. There are no dangers to our country, president adviser said.

Then the reporters asked if there are no dangers to our country, what advise the adviser gives to the head of the country. “They are secrets,” Isagulyan said.

A reporter asked on the status quo with regional countries in the national security concept paper. “There is no point to detail all the provisions of the document. You can take and read,” Isagulyan said.

One of the reporters asked if Isagulyan sees a danger that an agreement is signed on Kars-Akhalkalak-Baku railway whereas the Armenian president opened a cableway in Tsaghkadzor and went skiing. “You should have been so kind as to read the press and see that the foreign minister has already answered to that question. What can I tell you?” Isagulyan said.
