RUSSIA SINCERELY INTERESTED IN STABILITY OF ARMENIA

“Armenia is our friend and we wish it develops according to the Constitution and the choice made by the Armenian nation,” Sergey Lavrov, head of Russian foreign agency, told a joint news conference with the Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanyan.

Speaking about publications in the Russian mass media saying that Serzh Sargsyan, Armenian defense minister, is the most likely candidate for presidency of Armenia, Lavrov said, “The official disposition of Russia coincides with the non-official one.

” In his words, Russia is sincerely interested in stability and continuation of reforms in Armenia. “We wish that the regular phase of the constitutional process brings to conditions that will ensure its continuity,” he said.
