ABOUT 4.5 MLN AMD TO MATENADARAN

During today sitting the Government allocated 4.4 million AMD to the ministry of education and science from its reserve fund for the purpose of organization of an exhibition of manuscripts of Matenadaran in the “Martin Bodmer” foundation in Geneva. By a decision of the executive power, the ministry will provide this amount to the institute of ancient manuscripts after M.Mashtots.

To remind, the agreement on “Digitalization of the manuscripts of Matenadaran” and a contract between the library-museum of Hill manuscripts at St. John University of the USA, will be signed tomorrow in the Ministry of education and sciences. The program on digitalization of the manuscripts of the Matenadaran and creation of computer databases will start according to the contract.
