HEAD OF PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA CRITICIZES MODERN ARMENIAN MUSIC

“The quality of music goes done at geometric series. We have good music from the soviet times. Today we are not a people of culture and do everything to destroy what we have,” Eduard Topchyan, art head of the Armenia philharmonic orchestra, told a news conference today.

He said the Philharmonic functions only thanks to benefactors. Topchyan also said he wants to meet the prime minister and raise the questions of philharmonic. He said he does not blame musicians who go to other countries for much higher pay.
