AFRICAN PLAGUE REACHES ARARAT REGION

Twenty eight sick pigs were detected in Arevabuir and Burastan communities of Ararat marz on September 8 (22 in the village of Arevabuir and 6 in Burastan), rescue services report. The sick animals were treated with chloride of lime and buried. The areas is desinfected. Samples are taken for tests.

Gagik Tovmasyan, deputy head of veterinary inspection, assured that no cases were reported yesterday and today in other residential areas among pigs. So, up until now cases of African plague were registered in Lory, Tavush, Yerevan and Ararat regions.
