51 PERSONS TAKEN TO HOSPITAL AFTER VACCINATION

“Total of 1 million 700,000 has been spent for vaccination against measles. Some 2231 vaccination points have been opened throughout the republic. By the decision of the minister, hospitals are assigned and reanimation teams are set up,” first deputy minister of health, Haik Darbinyan, told a news conference today. He assured that 1130 doctors, 1500 nurses and 1500 statisticians have been trained to implement the program.

In the estimates of the ministry, there are 808.545 people of the age of 6-27 and 776,451 got vaccinated. This figure is 96 percent of the target group. According to ministry indicators, the program may be called successful if we consider that only 15-26% did not get vaccinated. The medical clinics still continue vaccination although the main phase is over. “According to today’s figures, the indicator exceeds 96 percent which is more than targeted 95 percent,” Gaiane Sahakyan, head of Immune Prevention National Program said.

The vaccination caused side effects with 150 residents, those who reported it and 51 persons have been taken to hospitals.
