Armenian chess players take four individual medals in European Team Championship

Armenian chess players took four individual medals in the European Team Championship held in Novi Sad, Serbia. Gabriel Sargissian (3rd board) was awarded golden, Tigran L. Petrosian (5th board) silver, Lilit Mkrtchian (2nd board) silver, Lilit Galoyan (3rd board) bronze medals.

FIDE published the results of the pairings of the 1st round of the World Cup due to start on November 20, 2009. Gabriel Sargissian's opponent will be Li Chao B (China), Tigran L. Petrosian's - Georg Meier (Germany). Sergei Movsesian will play with Yu Yangyi (China).
