“Actually, there is a problem of decreasing corruption risks in the education system. The educational reforms and the new systems introduced will cut the risks to some extent,” the Chairman of the Public Council committee for education, science, culture, youth and sports affairs Artur Ghukasyan told a press conference today.
According to him, competition should be available in each system, including the educational one, to follow the process. “Due to the newly introduced education system, students with low academic records will not be able to pass on to free education. It’s impossible,” he said.
The chairman signified the credit system, which, as he said, also involves competition elements. “There are several elements which can cut corruption risks in the education system. Of course, it is impossible to eliminate for 100%, though we can cut it to a minimum,” A. Ghukasyan said.
