Chess: David Shahinyan wins Aeroflot-Open

16-year-old chess player David Shahinyan from Vanadzor, Armenia, after winning Moscow Open, took the first prize in the Aeroflot-Open held in the Russian capital. David scored 7,5 out of 9 and solely leads C tournament.

One round is left before the end of A1 and A2 tournaments.

Gabriel Sargissian, who has so far scored 5 points out of 8, has got the best result among Armenian chess players in A1 group. The leaders are Le Quang Liem and Nguyen Ngoc Truong Son (Vietnam) with 6 points each.

In A2 tournament Artur Gabrielian has scored 5,5 points and is behind the leaders, Aleksei Pridorozhni (Russia) and Sergey Pavlov (Ukraine) with half a point, Armenian Chess federation reported.
