Foundation of foreign schools is betrayal done by the authorities, Lyudmila Sargsyan, the head of Social Democrat Hunchakian Party (SDHP) told reporters at news conference.
“We consider that project as a betrayal towards our state, and we think that project should be detained,” Party’s head stated.
According to her, the authorities are unaware of the consequences led by the changes in the laws “on language” and “on secondary school education”. Note that those laws intend the foundation of foreign schools.
She reminded Hunchak activists attempted to kill a century ago governor Golicin who decided to close Armenian schools. The symbols of independent state are the flag, the state emblem, the army and the language, and according to Mrs. Sargsyan, if one of these values is treated this way, then the independence and the future of the state are worthless for the authorities.
“Foreign schools mean we’ll have elite generation having foreign way of thinking, which will become the future of our state – the most dangerous for our country. There is no language - there is no state,” Lyudmila Sargsyan said.
