“Taking into account relative ties between Iran and Armenia, it’s supposed the two states could cooperate in exporting and importing of wheat,” Iranian “IRINN” news agency reported referring to the Chairman of the Organization of Consumer’s Protection of Armenia.
“Armenia consumes 700 tones of wheat annually and only 200 tones of which is produced in Armenia. After the ban to export wheat from Russia, necessary steps should be made to import wheat from Iran. Iran recorded growth in wheat production this year,” Armenian official said.
