World Chess Olympiad launched in Khanty-Mansysk recorded a successful round for Armenian men and women tournaments.
Taking into account the potentials of the rival team of Costa Rica Levon Aronian was taken a day off. Vladimir Hakobian and Arman Pashikian ended in draw in the set with Santana Arias and Bernal Gonzalez. Armenian women team defeated IPCA team in 3,5:0,5 scores. Elina Danielian defeated Anto Jennitha, Lilit Mkrtchian defeated Nadejhda Zikina, and Lilit Galoian – Marina Kaydanovich, the only in draw recorded Nelli Aginian and Galina Melnik pair.
