After about a decade of break a liturgy was served on 19 September in Holy Cross Church of Akhtamar. Armenians gathered from all over the world prayed and candled lights with tears on their eyes.
According to “Ermenihaber.am” about 10000 Turkish lira has been collected which was given to Murad Uzunparmak, the deputy Governor of Van. It’s said a school will be built in Van.
Educational Association of Van received the money to organize the construction of the school. The Governor of Van Qaraoglu thanked those who granted the money.
