Therapeutist, pulmonologist: Our immune system cannot quickly adapt to environmental changes

Yerevan is becoming more and more beautiful. However, our capital is like a good-looking woman who suffers from serious diseases, chief therapeutist of Ministry of Health, pulmonologist Andranik Voskanyan said speaking about Yerevan’s environmental condition.

The number of cases of cancer, kidney diseases, repiratory, cardiovascular, ischemic heart diseases grew over the past years in Yerevan due to violation of urban construction norms, according to the therapeutist.

“It is because our immune system cannot quickly adapt to environmental changes.”
