FIDE: World champion candidates to meet in 2011

 FIDE has officially announced that World Champion's candidates' matches will be held in Kazan, Russia from 3 to 27 May, 2011. The eight qualifiers, Topalov, Carlsen, Kramnik, Aronian, Gelfand, Mamedyarov, Radjabov and Kamsky must confirm their participation until December 22nd, 2010. The names of the reserve participants have also been published - Grischuk, Jakovenko, Wang Yue.

So, if Carlsen anyway decides to play, Gelfand will be Aronian's opponent at the first round, and if the Norwegian confirms his refusal, Levon will meet with Grischuk, armchess.am reported.
