A. Movsisyan: Armenia, Iran may assume role of energy operator in region

80 percent in the total volume of Armenian-Iranian cooperation falls to the energy sector. $450m is allocated to this sector, Armenian Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Armen Movsisyan told ISNA Iranian agency during his visit to Tehran.

“Construction of a hydroelectric power plant on Arax River will start soon. Iran and Armenia are the only countries in the region that can assume the role of energy operator,” according to the Minister.
