Part of debt paid, though electricity supplies to Minsk hasn’t still resumed

Russia's state power exporter InterRAO hasn’t yet resumed electricity supplies to Belarus after Minsk paid off part of the debt.

“Deliveries had not begun,” Reuters quotes InterRAO spokesman Anton Nazarov as saying, who declined to give a reason for the delay.

Russia halted supplies over 1.2 billion roubles ($42.72 million) owed for electricity supplied in March, April and May, but Minsk on Wednesday paid 600 million roubles of the debt.
