World Bank to press Azerbaijan on a report for absorbed $1 billion

 “Azerbaijan absorbed $1 billion provided by the World Bank to fight corruption in the country. The statesmen have exercised corruption in the sidelines of anticorruption program,” pia.az informs referring to a governmental source.

The World Bank provided Azerbaijan $1 billion to fight corruption. Azerbaijan has fined and even arrested some officials to demonstrate a show which didn’t touch chief corruption makers.

According to the source official Baku is being targeted: “World Bank has sent a hint that cooperation with Azerbaijan may be ceased.”

The unnamed source told pia.az an envoy from the WB is supposed to arrive in Baku. “Baku will be pressed to make a report. Yeni Azerbaijan has only a month to please the international organization.”
