Paco Alcacer’s father dies shortly after watching son score in 3-0 win over Roma

A night of glory has ended in tragedy for Valencia teenager Paco Alcacer following the death of his father, which happened minutes after the striker scored against Roma in a 3-0 win.

Marca.com reports Alcacer's parent collapsed outside the Mestalla stadium shortly after watching his son in action against the Italians in the Naranja trophy friendly.

However, despite efforts from medics to revive him, the 17-year-old's dad died from a heart attack.
