Chelsea close to agreeing €30m deal for Juan Mata

Juan Mata appears set to move to Stamford Bridge after allegedly requesting his employers to accept the Blues’offer for him.

Chelsea have increased their bid to €30m after having a first offer of €25m rejected by the Spanish side.

Spanish sources now claim that Mata himself has asked Valencia president Manuel Llorente to let him go as he looks to further his career abroad, Goal.com said.
