Grand Slam: Aronyan yields to third horizontal

 In the fifth round of the Grand Slam, which is being held in the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo, Armenian GM Levon Aronyan ended in draw with the world champion Anand. Nakamura defeated Vallejo, and scoring 7 passed Levon Aronyan, who now shares the 3rd-5th places with Anand and Carlsen. Vassily Ivanchuk has scored 10 and leads the tournament.

The second part of the tournament will be held in the Spanish city of Bilbao on October 5-11.
