World Youth U16 Olympiad: Armenian national team faces Azerbaijani team

The Armenian youth national team lost to the Russian team 1.5-2.5 in the fifth round of the World Youth U16 Chess Olympiad in Izmit, Turkey. Our team remains on top with 16.5 points. The Russian team runs second, being 1.5 points behind Armenia. The Georgian team runs third with 13.5 points.

The Armenian team faces the Azerbaijani team in the sixth round. The Azerbaijani team drew with Iran in the fifth round and currently runs fourth with 13 points.
