Government approves food security strategy

The Armenian government approved food security strategy and a respective action plan for implementation of the strategy at the cabinet meeting on Thursday. The strategy outlines the key directions to develop the sector with consideration of international experience.

The government seeks to create preconditions for improving the negative trade and economic balance of food raw materials and processed foods by introducing a viable food security strategy.
