Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Baroness Catherine Ashton, the government’s press office reported.
Baroness Ashton noted that EU is impressed by Armenia’s progress in various fields and stressed that there are all preconditions for strengthening and expanding the Armenia-EU relations.
“We are ready to support Armenia in ensuring economic growth. Signing deep and comprehensive free trade agreement will facilitate this process, and the agreement negotiations will enter a new phase shortly,” said Catherine Ashton.
Tigran Sargsyan outlined the government’s priorities and the work done by the government, aimed at establishing civil society and introducing European values.
