Fake alcohol poisoning kills over 40 in India

More than 40 people died from poisoning by fake alcohol in the Indian state of West Bengal, about 150 victims remain in hospital, the Voice of Russia reported.

All had acquired alcohol in a shop at the railway station of Sangrampur, which is located 70 kilometers from Calcutta.

It is reported that angry locals attacked the shop, after they learned of the incident. 4 suspects have been detained on charges of illegal shipments of alcohol.
