Armenian footballer Henrikh Mkhitaryan, with 1 000 votes (62.89 percent), was named the best defensive midfielder of Shakhar in 2011, according to an online voting on Shakhtar’s official site.

Mkhitaryan is followed by Fernandinho, with 345 votes, and Tomáš Hübschman, with 79 votes.
