Internet World Stats: Armenia tops regional states

 “Internet World Stats” international organization released a study displaying internet usage and population in Asia. According to the study results due to internet usage and population Armenia tops the regional states.

About 47,1% (796 thousand. 550 people) of Armenia’s 2,967,975 population uses internet as of June 2011. There are 242,140 “Facebook” users in Armenia as of December 31, 2011.

In Georgia only 28.3% (1,300,000) of 4,585,874 population use internet during the reporting period. 44.1% or 3,689,000 people use internet in Azerbaijani where the population forms 8,372,373.

According to the report Armenia surpasses even some CIS countries. Internet usage index in Russia is 43%, in Ukraine 33,9%, in Belarus 46,3%, in Uzbekistan 26.8%, in Tajikistan 9,2% and in Kazakhstan 34.1%.
