Hayatsk: 6500 homeless families and Gyumri Mayor’s hotel

Residents of Gyumri are indignant at the opening of the Alexandropol hotel complex near the central square of Gyumri, belonging to Mayor Vardan Ghukasyan. This is an inadmissible luxury for a city with a high poverty rate, Hayatsk reports.

According to Gyumri residents, the Mayor could spend this money on solving the dwelling problems of several dozens of people.

Shirak is the poorest region in Armenia, with 6500 homeless families, the newspaper writes.
