Guardiola rules out Chivas move

Barcelona trainer Pep Guardiola has dismissed reports linking him with the coaching position at Chivas, Goal.com reported.

Earlier this week the Mexican outfit announced the appointment of Johan Cruyff as an advisor, and ever since rumours have surfaced that the 41-year-old coach could follow his former mentor to the club.

Speaking at a press conference ahead of his side's Liga clash with Sporting Gijon, Guardiola announced that Chivas are not in his plans for the immediate future, putting an end to further speculation.

"I have been in Mexico before, but I do not plan on returning in the short term. It is a league with very good players, and Johan can only make their football better."
