Aravot: UK Ambassador about election bribery

Aravot daily asked UK Ambassador to Armenia Katherine Leach for comments on the local self-government elections held in Armenia a month ago.

“There are some positive changes, for instance, there were two strong candidates in Hrazdan. But I must say that we received reports about shortcomings, vote buying, incorrect administrative actions…nevertheless, I think some conclusions will be drawn from that, and the forthcoming elections will be more democratic,” said the Ambassador.
