Trchunich to run for parliament

Former MP and member of the Communist Party of Armenia Khoren Sargsyan (Khoren Trchunich) has announced his intention to run for parliament in majority system, Aravot reports.

He is collecting documents to submit them to constituency No.24 which includes the town of Martuni, Gegharkunik region and 24 neighboring villages.

Asked who will support his candidacy, Trchunich said, “Clever people.”

The newspaper adds that Khoren Sargsyan is rumored to have close ties with Gagik Tsarukyan.
