Darchinyan, Yamanaka defend bantamweight category

 WBC bantamweight title bout will take place today in Tokyo between defending champ Shinsuke Yamanaka, Japan, and ferocious challenger Vic Darchinyan of Australia. “Fightnews” said there was a weigh-in ceremony on Thursday, when Yamanaka and Darchinyan each tipped the beam at the 118-pound (53.5kg) class limit.
