Shmays explains where his nickname comes from – paper

Yerkir’s correspondent talked to Republican parliamentary candidate Arakel Movsisyan, more widely known by his nickname Shmays.

Movsisyan explained to the paper where his nickname comes from.

“I was a master of sports. When I was demobilized, the war began. We recruited guys. I used to bring Shmays submachine guns from Russia. That's where my nickname comes from. Shmays is not a nickname but history,” the paper quotes him as saying.
