Zhoghovurd: Shirak governor actively campaigns for RPA

According to Zhoghovurd, Shirak governor Ashot Giziryan gathered Amasia and Ashotsk mayors, police chiefs and school headmasters for a meeting and told them to campaign for RPA and Republican Ashot Aghababyan, a candidate for parliament in constituency No. 33. The governor threatened those present with severe punishment if RPA receives few votes in some village.

“You will be answerable with your heads,” he is quoted as saying.

However, Giziryan dismissed these rumors, the paper says.
