Hraparak: General Manvel’s brother runs for mayor of Metsamor

Metsamor mayoral election will take place on September 9. Like previous election, this election will also feature 2 candidates: current mayor of Metsamor Robert Grigoryan and former mayor Ashot Grigoryan, the brother of MP Manvel Grigoryan, Hraparak reports.

Ashot Grigoryan was the mayor of Metsamor until 2008. The authorities did not back him in the mayoral election of 2008, because his brother Manvel Grigoryan supported the “national movement” in the presidential election. The situation is a little different now, and it is hard to predict what will happen, the paper writes.
