Sergei Movsesian wins vice champion title at Biel open

GM Sergei Movsesian finished second with 8 points at Biel open, having tied with black pieces with Romain Edouard of France in round 11. Sergei was behind the champion, Russia’s Igor Kurnosov, on tie-break only. Romain Edouard finished in third place with 8 points.

Armenia’s Hrant Melkumyan finished in seventh place, being half a point behind the leaders.

Biel open chess tournament hosted 112 players.
