Real Madrid to offer Higuain improved deal until 2018

Real Madrid are in advanced talks with Gonzalo Higuain over a contract extension until the summer of 2018, AS reports.

The 24-year-old attacker's current deal with the Liga champions runs until June 2016, but Los Blancos are ready to reward the Argentine for his good performances in the 2011-12 campaign with an improved contract.

The striker is currently on an annual salary of €3.8 million, but a pay rise to €4.5m per season awaits the Argentina international, Goal.com reports.
