Zhoghovurd: Gevorg Malkhasyan has not got approval from RPA to become mayor

In a recent interview with Zhoghovurd daily, Sevan mayor Gevorg Malkhasyan said he was not going to run for reelection because he had decided to engage in business, but several days later he changed his mind and decided to run for mayor, Zhoghovurd reports.

According to Zhoghovurd’s sources, Malkhasyan will withdraw from mayoral race soon.

“More, he has not got approval from RPA to become mayor. Former governor of Gegharkunik region, former MP Rudik Ghukasyan will be “elected” mayor instead,” the daily writes.
