Abidal named in Barcelona's Champions League squad

Barcelona has included full back Eric Abidal in its 25-man Champions League squad, even though the Frenchman is still recovering from a liver transplant, Goal.com reported.

The Frenchman has made remarkable strides in his recovery and the club is hopeful that he may well play a part in the competition.

David Villa is also handed a place after recovering from a broken leg which kept him out of football for eight months.
