NSC Secretary: Armenia ready for CSTO exercise

Armenia is ready to hold Cooperation 2012 exercise of the CSTO Collective Rapid Response Forces at a high level, Arthur Baghdasaryan, Secretary of Armenia’s National Security Council, told reporters in Yerevan.

Cooperation 2012 exercise of the CSTO Collective Rapid Response Forces will be held in Armenia on September 15-19, 2012, with 1,700 servicemen from all CSTO member-states participating.

The CSTO exercise has great political and practical significance. The exercise is also very important for our country, Baghdasaryan said.

NSC meeting on September 12 decided to create a joint working group between NSC and Armenian Defense Ministry for analyzing the process of exercise and working out action plan to implement state government reform in the future if necessary, NSC Secretary concluded.
