Zola to fine players who haven’t learned English

Gianfranco Zola plans to dish out fines if Watford’s foreign legion fail to learn English, The Sun reports.

The Italian, who snapped up 13 players from Udinese and Granada this summer, reckons the language barrier has played a part in a run of three straight defeats.

Zola, who also has Spanish, Czech, Swiss, Argentine and Belgian imports, said: “There is only a certain amount of time for them to learn. After that there will be some fines.”
