Haykakan Zhamanak: 20 percent more people leave Armenia this year than last year

Haykakan Zhamanak daily has published the data of Armenia’s State Migration Service indicating that a total of 90,800 people left Armenia forever in the eight months of this year.

“A total of 75,200 people left the country forever in the same period last year. It means that 20.7 percent more people left Armenia this year than last year, with some 5,000 Syrian-Armenians having arrived in Armenia,” the paper writes.
