Zhoghovurd: Former MP’s nephew remains in custody

Rumors circulate that the nephew of former MP Hakob Hakobyan has been released from custody. However, Sona Truzyan, a spokesperson for Armenian Prosecutor General, told Zhoghovurd that Stepan Hakobyan remains in custody.

Being on the police wanted list for 5 years, Stepan Hakobyan was arrested in December 2011. He is accused of ordering the murder of Sedrak Zatikyan, the son of late Vahan Zatikyan who was Yerevan’s Malatia-Sebastia district’s former prefect, in June 2006.
