Henrik Mkhitaryan: It is great happiness to score against Italy but it’s a pity it was not enough

Here we present La Stampa Italian newspaper’s interview with Armenian national football team and FC Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Henrik Mkhitaryan.

- What does it mean to score against Italy?

- It is wonderful. It is a great happiness. But it’s a pity it was not enough to delight fans.

- You become more and more famous in Europe.

- I am not a star.

- Would you like to play in Italy?

- (Laughing). There are big clubs there, and the championship is splendid. Nevertheless, if someone is interested in me, he should talk it with Shakhtar at the end of the season.

- What can you say about Juventus?

- It is a wonderful team. We made sure of it playing in the Champions League.

- Would you like to move to that team?

- This could take place some time, I am still young. But the only thing I think of now is to help Shakhtar in the Champions League.

- Who will drop out of group?

- I care little about the chances of Juventus and Chelsea. The main thing is that Shakhtar pass to next round.

- What principle are you guided by while choosing a new club?

- I prefer the club where I could play confidently.

- Lucescu compared you to Kaka.

- It is not the worst comparison. But to speak more seriously, Kaka is a fantastic footballer, but he has his own characteristics, and I have my own ones.

- Are you a midfielder or a forward?

- I am rather a forward. I like playing closer to the edge of the attack.

- Who do you like most in Juventus?

- Pirlo. But Vidal and Vucinic are also good.

- But they looked not so bright against your background.

- We just had a really good match in Turin. Lucescu had trained us perfectly. The only thing we failed to do was to win.
