Haykakan Zhamanak: Most demanded book is Hovhannes Tumanyan's Fairy Tales

In 2011, the most demanded book in Yerevan’s big bookstores was Hovhannes Tumanyan's Fairy Tales, Haykakan Zhamanak says.

Mariam Vardanyan, manager of Book World bookstore network, told the paper that even the most demanded book sells no more than 1,000 copies over one year.

The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho has also been in high demand in 2012. It sells a maximum of 360 copies over 6 months. The Fairy Tales costs AMD 4,300, Alchemist AMD 1,500, the paper writes.
