Armenian grandmaster Zaven Andriasian beat Elarbi Abobker (Libya) in the first round of a chess tournament hosted by Fujairah, UAE.

Grandmaster Tigran L. Petrosian tied with FM Yusup Atabayev (Turkmenistan), according to Armenian Chess Federation website.
