Armenian envoy: We welcome entrance of Iranian investors into Armenian market

Iran is the seventh trade partner of Armenia. We welcome the entrance of Iranian investors into the Armenian market, Armenian ambassador to Iran Grigor Arakelyan stated during a meeting with businessmen of Iran's Kermanshah Province, IRNA reported.

Referring to bilateral economic relations, the Armenian envoy said, in part, “Yerevan and Tehran have always had positive relations and therefore Iran is the seventh trade partner of Armenia. About 500 Iranian trade companies operate in our country. As of 2011, the commodity circulation between the two countries increased and amounted to $329 million.”

Ambassador Arakelyan invited Iranian businessmen to visit Armenia to familiarize themselves closely with Armenia’s business environment. The Armenian envoy added that in order to make the country attractive for foreign investors, the Armenian government established some tax benefits in tax and customs fields.
