U.S. Ambassador: No election competition in Armenia

U.S. Ambassador to Armenia John Heffern had meetings with leaders of Armenian political parties last month and discussed the upcoming presidential elections, Zhoghovurd reports, citing well-informed sources. 

During the meetings, Mr Heffern raised his concerns about the fact that there is no election competition in Armenia, which could affect Armenia’s international image.

“It is very bad if the elections are held this way,” said the Ambassador.
