Armenian presidential elections set for February 18

Armenia will hold presidential elections on February 18, 2013, Tigran Mukuchyan, chairman of the Central Electoral Commission of Armenia (CEC), said.

CEC will hold an urgent session today to approve the schedule of events on preparation and holding of the 2013 presidential elections.

According to the electoral law of Armenia, presidential elections are held fifty days prior to the expiration of the President’s term of office. 

The Election Day is announced non-working day.
